WWE house show results
April 13, 2014
Chattanooga, Tenn.
Report by Billy Thomas, PWTorch reader

(1) Sheamus beat Titus O'Neil. This was a brief opening match. Sheamus actually didn't get much offense in at all. O'Neil was hot from the start and got a decent amount of heat. Brogue Kick out of nowhere and Sheamus won. Not a great match, but it was enough to kick the show off.

(2) Goldust beat Fandango. Goldust actually got a great pop when he came out. Several times during the match, Goldust mocked Fandango with his own moves. Standard match with a Curtain Call to end it as usual.

(3) Natalya beat Alicia Fox. WWE was trying like crazy to get everyone to sent a text voting whether this should be a Dance-Off or just a Divas match. The results flashed on the screen with 69 percent in favor of a Divas match. Alicia Fox had some highspots once or twice, but Natalya finished her with the Sharpshooter. Natalya was over a good bit with the crowd.

(4) Cesaro beat Dolph Ziggler. This one was tough because the crowd was split for both guys. Ziggler is obviously a glorified Ricky Morton, that's for sure. Cesaro displayed some pretty good strength in hoisting Dolph from outside the ring into the ring over the tope rope via vertical suplex. Cesaro Swing and the win.

(5) WWE tag champions The Usos beat Ryback & Curtis Axel to retain the WWE Tag Titles. This had to be the longest match of the night by far. When I say long, by my time it was roughly 26 minutes. There were times when the crowd was really bored with it. Double heel kicks to Axel and Ryback and the Usos won. Honestly, the crowd was very restless.

[Intermission]

(6) IC champion Big E. Langston beat Cody Rhodes & Jack Swagger. Swagger and Zeb Celter came out to rile up the crowd, although there were a fair amount of Real Americans in the crowd, this being Tennessee and all. Swagger did most of the work in this one along with Big E. A real disappointment was Rhodes. Totally bland on offense and never hit any signature moves at all. Big E. slingshot Rhodes into Swagger's groin (yes, you read that right ), then caught a doubled-over Swagger for the Big Ending and win. The crowd popped some for this one.

(7) Big Show beat Damien Sandow. Sandow had, by far, the biggest heat of the night. I have no idea what was up with the crowd, but they booed and booed and this made Sandow scream even louder into the mic. I swear I had a headache from this. Believe it or not, this routine went a good 15 minutes before Big Show even came out. When he did, he just stood in a corner and leaned on a turnbuckle, not preparing to do anything. Sandow would approach, get scared, back off, approach, repeat. Out of nowhere, Knockout Punch and pin. The actual match lasted 30 seconds at the most.

(8) John Cena & The Shield beat Kane & the Wyatts in an eight-man tag match. Solid match. Even though this probably only went 12 minutes or so, all the guys on both sides got some ring work in. Naturally, Cena was last to be tagged in and hit a double Five Knuckle Shuffle on Kane and Erick Rowan. Then, he picked Rowan up for the AA and win. Cena was super mega over with the crowd, virtually no Cena haters ever here in Chattanooga.

Biggest Pops:

(1) Cena
(2) Big Show
(3) Shield
(4) Natalya (yup a Diva)

Biggest Heat:

(1) Damien Sandow (x10)
(2) Rybaxel
(3) Titus O'Neil
